  1. Neighborhood Clean-Up Program

    April 19, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Operations Center

    Time to clean out that garage or shed and prune some of those bushes around the house. The city will have a container for household clean-up items, at a designated location. Each week the container will be in different locations, so watch out ad to find out where. Please DO NOT bring the following items: oil, batteries, refrigerators or air-conditioners, and paint.

City personnel will not load compost; you must provide your own shovel or pitch fork for loading composted material.

  9. Sharon K. Bird Memorial Walk/Run

    Creative Community Living’s second walk/run will get underway at 9 a.m., following registration the previous hour. Participants have their choice of a 1-mile or 5K distance. Those choosing the mile stay within the park, while those doing the 5K begin and end in the park but also spend time on the dike along Timber Creek.Medals will be given to the top male and top female in each age division of the 5K, and plaques will be awarded to the overall fastest male and female. To preregister, download a form at www.cclccl.org or stop by Meyer Hall at 1500 E. Eighth, Winfield. Mail the form and registration fee to CCL at the same address. The fee is $15.00 through April 25 and $20 on April 26. There is a limited number of T-shirts, so sign up soon for the best chance of getting a shirt.
