Leaves or grass must be unbagged before unloading and bags may be discarded into trash container provided by the City. No lumber, construction debris, or household trash will be accepted. City personnel will not load compost; you must provide your own shovel or pitch fork for loading composted material.

    Time to clean out that garage or shed and prune some of those bushes around the house. The city will have a container for household clean-up items, at a designated location. Each week the container will be in different locations, so watch out ad to find out where. Please DO NOT bring the following items: oil, batteries, refrigerators or air-conditioners, and paint.

    An exhibition reception and book signing for Krystle Cole will be held at Gallery 1001, 10th and Main in Winfield, on Tuesday, September 16th, from 5pm-7:30pm. Live instrumental guitar by Clayton Crawford will make this reception a must-see for patrons of the downtown Music Crawl that evening.

    Help Winfield Main Street welcome Walnut Valley Festival attendees and fans to the community. Good food, entertainment, and prizes. Local BEST businesses will be having their "Bluegrass Blowout" sales and staying open late. Young Professionals of Cowley County will have a Beer Garden in the parking lot behind the Chamber of Commerce.

    The 42nd Annual Walnut Valley Festival and National Flatpicking Championship is world renowned for its music featuring the best in bluegrass and acoustic musicians.

  6. "Make-It, Take-It" Class - Fall Twine Monogram

    September 18, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Winfield Arts & Humanities Council, Conference Room

    Join us to make this cute monogram fall door decor. You get to wrap the letter of your choice and create the flowers with burlap or felt. You can keep it neutral or add some fall colors. This will be something you can keep up all fall and is sure to get many compliments. Please be sure to specify what letter you plan to make during enrollment. RSVP is required, payment accepted at time of class.

Actually, we will have TWO off-leash dog parks (one for the big dogs and one for the little ones) at the pet event of the year, our PETPALOOZA on Sep 27th at Black Creek Park in Winfield, 10-3. Bring your dog, and have some fun! Admission is free. Doggie Art, Dog Rally Demo, Raffle, Cake Walk, Live Music, Face Painting, Photographer, Contests, Adoption Event.
