ADA/Section 504
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

ADA diamond logo  Access to civic life by people with disabilities is a fundamental goal of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). To ensure that this goal is met, Title II of the ADA requires the City of Winfield and other State and local governments make their programs and services accessible to persons with disabilities.

As the city’s ADA Coordinator, Gary Mangus ensures the city’s programs, facilities and services are compliant with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. An important part of ensuring compliance is providing training to city employees so they maintain a high level of awareness with regard to the city’s requirements and obligations. He also provides informational and technical support to businesses, individuals and other entities external to the city government. He works closely with the Access Advisory Board, helps to solve problems and looks into disability-related complaints.

For information or assistance regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act, please contact Gary, at 620-221-5525 or email.
