Street Maintenance
Responsibilities of the Divisionasphalt
The Street Maintenance Division of Public Works performs regular maintenance on the city's dedicated asphalt, concrete, gravel, and brick streets. Maintenance includes street sweeping, painting of street markings, cleaning of drainage ways, snow removal, storm cleanup, pothole patching, sign maintenance and blading of streets and alleys. Within Winfield city limits, there are 55 miles of asphalt, 11 miles of concrete, 7 miles of brick, and 13 miles of gravel streets.

In 2013, MKEC Engineering Consultants presented an assessment and maintenance plan for the City's transportation network. A copy of the plan can be accessed by through this link.
