Island Park

Welcome to Island Parks Page
Island Park, 200 Main St, is a 20 acre park and is a favorite destination for visitors and residents alike. It's a historic park that hosted Chautauqua's from 1887 to 1913. Today, kids (of all ages!) delight in the castle-like playground and the story walk behind the playground. There are also walking trails, picnic areas, and accessible restrooms. Island Park also provides ample opportunities for rest and relaxation. The new performance stage hosts many community events and provides a space for the community to come together and enjoy nature. You can also kick back with a fishing pole and listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfall on the western edge of the park. Or sit for awhile in the Peace Garden, while enjoying the beautiful plantings and flowers. You can even reserve one of the 3 pavilions or shelters for a BBQ with friends and family. During the winter season the park is closed for Isle of Lights that the community can visit for free! Hours of fun await you at Island Park!

For pavilion or shelter reservations call the City Operation Center, (620)-221-5600.
