Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals administers the application of the zoning ordinances and hear/determine appeals from the refusal of building permits and to permit exceptions in accordance with the purpose, conditions and procedure specified by the Governing Body in Zoning Ordinances.

Building Trades Board
The Building Trades Board consists of Electricians, Plumbers, General Building Contractors, Technical Professional, and two Realtor/Landlords'.
The purpose of the Building Trades Board is to license and regulate persons, firms, or corporations desiring to engage in any of the defined building trades as regulated by applicable ordinances.

Human Relations Commission
The Human Relations Commission eliminates prejudice among the various ethnic groups in Winfield and to further goodwill among such groups.
The commission holds hearings upon complaints alleging discriminatory or unlawful practice in employment, public accommodations and housing.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission hears requests for zoning changes and approve development plans, making sure that the plan complies with City Ordinances and the Comprehensive Plan.
The Planning Commission meets as needed at a time and location designated by the secretary with sufficient notice given to commission members. Members shall select one of their members as chairperson and one as vice-chairperson.
