Do I need to have a permit to have a garage/yard sale?
Yes. Garage/Yard sale permits are available at City Hall, 200 E. 9th. Permits are available during normal business hours of Monday through Fridays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
How much does a garage/yard sale permit cost?
The cost is $1.00 per permit
Can I put up a sign to advertise my garage/yard sale?
Yes. You may post a sign 1 day prior to the sale and it must be removed immediately following the sale. The sign may not exceed 24 inches square. Signs may not be posted on any building, vehicle, or public place without the consent of the owner or person in control of the property or vehicle. Unlawful posting is a misdemeanor.
How often can I have a garage/yard sale?
Residents are limited to two(2)garage/yard sales per calendar year and each sale shall be limited to three (3) consecutive days.
How soon do garage/yard sale items need to be removed?
All sale items must be removed from the exterior premises, including porches, within one day following the day the sale is concluded.
